How hard would it be to find a PGYIII spot at the end of this year?

Hi all,
Thinking about switching programs after negotiating with the PD re my family leave. I basically had to subtly threaten to sue his ass to get more than the 2 weeks or so he wanted to give me to pop out this kid. Fortunately he finally saw the wisdom of complying with federal law. However am now persona non grata with the other residents (who somehow don't understand that if I make up the call in advance - they don't take any more call because of my leave) and the higher ups and am sick of this whole thing. So would LOVE to get out of dodge after sucking it up and smiling my way through the next 12 months.
Is it possible to change programs after successfully completing the PGYII year?

It is indeed possible, just call around. Our program already had one resident transfer after PGY II year, and possibly another one.

My question is can you transfer shortly after starting PGY III, say two months in, and still be eligible for boards?
