thanks confused tooth for correcting me.
can u please tell me the reason also.(what happens with the use of hot water fomentation/salt water gargle).

bcos the heat from the water will cause vasodilatation in the area which leads to increased swelling and redness.
 
i noticed you clubbed fomentation with salt water gargling.They are not the same.salt water gargling will not be an issue as hot fomentaion .is this a test question???
