Hi all,
I was wondering if I can get some input on my chances at matching Gen surg. Before I tell my stats I would just like to say that I am not looking for a top program, but a decent mid-tier program anywhere in the northeast (applying to about 68 programs).

I go to a mid/high tier med school.
Step 1: 239
Step 2: currently studying and will be in before ranking
Clerkships: All P’s no Honors (my school only does H/P/F)
Red Flags: no red flags at all
Research: 3 Publications from Med school, 2 abstract publications from undergrad. And your typical poster presentations and what not
EC: I have a good amount of this and have held a couple leadership roles
LORs: Strong LORs from 3 surgeons and 1 from my research mentor
Other: I have a bit of a unique story and my school’s surgery PD and other surgeons have really said it is a compelling story. Essentially I’ve gone through a lot and have even taken on difficult responsibilities even during med school and I was able to Still be in the position I’m in.

so what do you guys think are my chances of matching?
thank you all in advance for your time.

You will match easily unless you are a sociopath on interviews/aways

You have a very good shot of matching. Apply wisely and broadly (top tier, safety, academic/hybrid/community). More than 50 applications is probably overkill with your resume.
