Have you implemented FATE (Focused Assessment with Transthoracic Echocardiography) or FEEL (Focused Echocardiography Evaluation in Life support) protocols as part of routine management in your ICU? If so, how did you go about getting provider buy-in/training?
How many FATE exams do you need to perform before you develop a degree of comfort with what you're seeing on the screen?
I'm comfortable with the pleural/thoracic ultrasound portion and developing familiarity with the LE compression tests but have limited experience with echocardiography.
