our physicians brought forth, upon this internet, a new forum, conceived with intention of transmission of sacred knowledges, and dedicated to the self-betterment of man as a physician.
Now we are engaged in a great e-battle, testing whether pre-meds, or any non-medical student so conceived, and so dedicated, should be able to post countless messages of the most unruly, fraternizing variety. We are met here on this great forum. We have come to dedicate a portion of it as the final declaration of the injustices forgoing. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But in a larger sense we can not dedicate - we can not consecrate - we can not hallow this e-ground. Those intellectual men, medical students, residents, and doctors, who struggled, here, have consecrated it far above our poor powers. The internet will little note, nor long remember, what we say, but can never forget what they did here. It is for us, the allopathic community, rather to be dedicated here to the noble works previously carried out before us - that from these noble characters we take an increased devotion to pertinence and relevance to the medical community - that from those past to those present - that those before us will have have persevered in vain; that this forum shall have a new birth of credence; and that this forum of allopath, by the allopaths, shall not perish from the internet!
