For those students who are planning to do a duel degree at 2 different institutions, remember that you can only apply for government loans at one institution. You will have to tap into private loans for the other school (means higher interest rates and payback schedule is quicker). So you're going to have to pick and choose. Generally the school with the greater tuition is where you want to have the subsidized loans (obviously). However, if you do a duel degree at the same institution, they'll lump it all together into the same financial aid package. Just another thing to think about when you're shopping around at different schools... Also as a fair warning to the pre-meds. First year of med school sucks, but its gets better. Good luck :)

I didn't know that. Good to know. One other thing is that you are not allowed to take out as much for business school as you are for med school. Therefore, you have to take out more private loans. That was a rude awakening for me.

And about that last part of your post...it's so true!

Very good to know. There's no way to get around that?
