1. "I'm Alright" featuring the Caddyshack gopher

2. "Footloose" : funniest movie ever! It WAS a comedy, right?

But really, it's Saturday and I really wanna go roller skating tonight

When I think back to my skating rink days I remember the last skate of the night: lights dim, the mirrored disco ball drops down, and of course Phil Collins...

Volbeat actually has a lot of songs that I like, but that one is great.

Back at with something likewise--biker dudes dealing death and destruction.

And since it's late in the night. Right about now. Some country feels right.

Very cool selections, B-

I defintely love to check out stuff I haven't heard before. This thread is awesome because it inspires me to stretch out my musical tastes and find inspiration.

One of my very favorite songs. For you, B:

Edit: Uhhm, I don't know how the red angry face got onto the title line. Just pretend it isn't there.

Apparently Kreayshawn's Gucci Gucci track is making its rounds around the internet. She's from Oakland.

It makes me feel old. And to spare you all the pain of listening to it I am not posting the youtube link.

Lol. Funny how something could be so annoying and yet you can't turn away from it! I love that she's sportin Minnie Mouse ears too.

I don't know if anyone watched the Billboard awards last night but Beyonce featured Les Twins :)love:). I was pretty disappointed because from what I saw it didn't showcase their talents at all!!

Anyway, reminded me of a crew called Turf Feinz from Oakland. It's dance and not music, I know.

Here's a routine you see everywhere by Les Twins also:

Hey Joe - Jimi Hendrix
Daddy Fat Sax - Big Boi
Solid Ground - Maps & Atlases
White Winter Hymnal - Fleet Foxes
Two Weeks - Grizzly Bear
Make You Feel That Way - Blackalicious
1979 - The Smashing Pumpkins
Chicago - Sufjan Stevens
Cold War - Janelle Monae
White Room - Cream
and a bunch of others

And then to make things worse I watched one of her interviews. Oh good lord. Being loud, looking like a bratz doll, smoking weed, drinking, partying... yeah, you real fancy, eh?

Admittedly her tough girl persona reminds me of myself. But white rapper wimmenz ain't new:

OK. If I have to see another dance routine with grown men that doesn't look like this I'm gonna vomit:

Back in school, I used to dream about it every day...

Could it really happen? Or do dreams fade away?!?!?!

I remember a classmate and I were doing the running man and listening to BBD's "Poison" in the atrium.

This youngin' passes by and is like, "I heard that on 'Scrubs' before!"

:hungover:

Thanks, Maubs. You confirmed my suspicions....I still remember all the lyrics to All For Love afterall :lame:.

I was just doin the running man earlier today! I feel like I'm allowed to admit that since you mentioned doin it and if anyone makes any cracks about it I swear I'll never return to this thread.

I learned a lot from that song. To this day, I do not trust big butts and smiles, despite not being able to lie about liking big butts.

I feel like I'm allowed to admit that since you mentioned doin it and if anyone makes any cracks about it I swear I'll never return to this thread.

I'm pretty sure I remember from my childhood being jealous of one of my cousins who could do that pretty well, so I won't comment.

Ok mama. That's doin it right. Had me wishin I was a curvy red head. Sassier than a mf'er. Toothbrush passing for a mic in my mirror.

On the subject of bad sisters. And bcause I'm feeling soft and blue in this lazy heat.

First you need to ask if he wants a girl with extensions in her hair, and bamboo earrings...at least 2 pair

A Fendi bag and a bad attitude? ;)

B, I'm loving it^^, which is why I feel kind of bad for my upcoming pick, but crap this popped up on the radio while I was dealing with some Chicago traffic dramallama.

All you can do at that point is laugh and  at everyone's road rage cause I can't move when I'm being blocked by the car in front of me and even if we did move the light is red so really what's moving 20 feet going to accomplish?

Already? Aww.

Already? Aww.

Yeah :(. I definitely haz a sad. I thought leaving work was supposed to be like "hellz yeah!" but it was bittersweet.

Anyway, the guitar vid made me want to post a Raul Midon song but I can't find any decent vids of him on his guitar so here's today's only song I was willing to put up with after skipping about 15 on my ipod:

and this came on right after which reminds me of how random my playlist is

Happy weekend y'all :)

REO Speedwagon Roll with the Changes
The title and refrain are perfect - seeing me through the awful process of divorce, and other "changes" - perhaps this career change. Rest of the lyrics don't quite "speak to me" (lol) but that's OK. I saw REO along with a few other bands the summer after high school in one of those all day concerts. Amazing.

Lol. New Edition! Bobby Brown already looked like trouble.

I'll combine Motown with the boy band theme to give you our next song. Happens to be my current "in-the-shower" song.

I still try to sing along with "Informer" whenever I hear it and I know maybe 4 words out of the whole thing. Seriously incomprehensible gibberish.

At one point I know he says "Listen for me, you better listen for me now.......??????????????....people dem say you come from Jamaica but me born an raised in Connecticut......??????? Right?

People got away with murder in the 90's. He looks like the IT guy for my building.

"Informer, you no say me daddy Snow me gonna blame...a licky boom boom down... detective man say me Snow me shot someone down the lane..." I think is how the refrain goes.

Lol!

You made me google these ridiculous lyrics cause I was like there's no way that's what he's saying. I think I had a better opinion of the song before reading the actual words he's attempting to rap.:hungover:

Here's the part I was confused about :

Listen to me ya better listen for me now
Listen to me ya better listen for me now
When-a me rock-a the microphone, me rock on steady-a
Yes-a Daddy Me Snow me are the article don
But the in an a-out (?) a dance an they say, "Where ya come from?"
People them say I come from Jamaica
But me born and raised (in the ghetto) I want ya to know-a
Pure black people man thats all I man know
Yeah me shoes are-a tear up an-a my toes used to show-a
Where me-a born in-a the one Toronto

 So at least now we know he's from the ghetto of Toronto.

Edit: TOP!
