Thanks for starting the thread!

I am wondering what the different programs on the east coast are like. I'm sure most of them are good, but past experience has taught me that each program has it's own culture and focus.

Which programs are more laid back vs more intense?

yayyyy... for endo thread

i am applying for endo too...
no idea abt ny endo prog...
bt as most of endo fellowship is in university i dont think it wl be that intense...
if the prog gives rotation in county hospital it may be busy...
bt then in such prog, you get maximum clinical exposure...

Hi everyone...im also applying to Endo this year.
GL everyone...hope all of us match in our first choice!

does anyone have any idea when do programs start reviewing applications, was just wondering as some of the programs have not even downloaded my application.

They already started...I received 2 rejections, from MGH and Beth Israel Hospital, both because they are not sponsoring Visa

2 rejection same day! stanford and Joslin...waste of money.
pending greencard, no research but strong letters and scores..

any invites yet? seems pretty quiet compared to other specialties...

I think it's really really early in the season yet though! Good luck to all. Everyone will get something, I'm sure.

I dont' know if its the waiting for invitations or the waiting for actual interviews that is harder on me (I don't fly well). I am a hot mess. Anyone else with insomnia?

You know, the thing is. . .my entire medical educational career has led up to this point. I never worried about getting into med school or residency. Now, I'm right on the cusp of what I've been working for and I am simply terrified it won't come to fruition.

I'd love to hear about some people's interview experiences. I interviewed in Madison and it was a bit different (mostly just the beginning). But I really liked it.

Fingers crossed everybody!!

:p funny i've been having some insomnia this week too, not really sure why though. I also dont fly well--planning on taking amtrak to as many places as possible.

I'm sort of the opposite mentality from you though as I feel like there is a lot less pressure with fellowship applications than with residency or med school applications because if it doesn't work out, I already have a ready career that I can work with if, say, I need to reapply, etc. It's not like residency application where if you dont match, you are stuck with a degree that you can't do much with.
