Email Letter of Interest for Residency Programs

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering when would be an appropriate time to email letters of interest to residencies about possibly getting an interview. I'm a Caribbean-IMG, and was planning on sending out an email to certain residency programs about expressing interest. I was wondering when would be the best time to do this?

I don't want to send them to early and annoy PDs, but I don't want to do it too late when all the interview spots are taken already.

Any advise is greatly appreciated!

Varies but probably shoot for 2 months into the interview season if rolling. Each program should have an app deadline and when interview invites will be let out.

This does not apply for programs with a single batch release of interviews. Not really possible for those places.
