Do you NEED dual board certification for community heme/onc jobs?

If you only do onc boards, is that good enough? Even if you plan to be a general heme/onc in the community after?

Would it impact future job opportunities?

Board cert or eligibility?

There may be some places that care about your heme training, but I doubt anyone is going to care if you've passed the Heme boards as long as you've passed Onc boards.

That said, I am Onc only trained and boarded and have only had community jobs. My last job was ~10% heme (combo benign/malignant). My current job is at least 40% heme and probably more. So far the only thing I've shipped out is acute leukemia (2 total) and R/R myeloma/lymphoma who need CAR-T.
