LOL you need to learn to count, FM=27 and OB=3, that puts the total placements at 99, once again I am just telling you what I know, of the 6 people who didn’t place into residency, 4 of them didn’t participate in the match at all, has nothing do with they didn’t match, they want to build their apps for more competitive residencies next year, they could have matched something less competitive. Only 2 people participated in the match and didn’t place after SOAP and Post SOAP. I don’t know what they will do but one is getting a masters degree. Last year we had a couple people take research years and were non participants in the match, one of them got into ENT at Geisinger this year after a research year for example so it’s more common then you think. Again look at other schools match lists, they don’t count the non participating students in their overall placement % so it’s nothing new. People who want to go for more competitive residency do this to build thier app and connections... Also some people don’t want to do a research year after 3rd year cause they might not have decided yet on thier specialty and they don’t want to delay graduation and pay the school tuition for an extra year..

here it is. I think your missing one somewhere. That’s besides the point, whether it’s 26 or 27 lol, the non participants are not counted for the placement rate for schools as far as I know, so if 4 people didn’t participate and 101 did and even if only 98 placed, it puts the placement rate at 98/101 which is 97%? Look at LECOM below it shows how many didnt match/place and how many were non participants, the placement rate is calculated after the # of non participants is taken out...

No they listed the city as Pittsburg PA, I believe it is most likely UPMC Mercy, it is frustrating that they dont specify since University of Pitt also has a general surgery residency at UPMC Presbyterian.....

I can confirm that resident is at UPMC Mercy. My son and his fiance went to undergrad with them prior to med school.

Hopkins PM&R is not as prestigious as other specialties. It’s a malignant hospital (which is especially unattractive to PM&R applicants) and they have had a few residents transfer out in recent years, another warning sign when your class size is small.

Could you elaborate on this? Dr. Celnik's portfolio and his activity in neuro-rehabilitation research ( which seems to be rare within PMR) suggests that he would be a strong director and lead a solid program.
