do FMG have a good chance at matching if they get really good scores?

i know if you work hard you will get what you want so if i get good scores at the usmle will i have a chance to match as an FMG .why people here make it sound impossible?
i want to take my residency in the US , and i really to be a gyn/ob do you think it's very competetive if so what(s the least competetive speciality thanks
