DMU rotations

Hello, is it possible to do all the clinical rotations in one city for DMU DO students?

Hey there,

From what I remember being told, you'd have a better chance of staying in one place for all your rotations (not necessarily the same city, but the same area) if you had a family. It's easier to try to get places in closer proximity for your 3rd year rotations than for your 4th year ones. But then, this was told to me in October, so I might be missing some details. If you really want to know, you can contact the DMU people directly, or just wait and ask them at your interview.

You can spend time in one city.... We have Ohio available to us.... There are 40 spots for us in Ohio....

I will be spending the next 10 months of my third year in Columbus.....

I'm a DMU 4th yr and I've done all of my rotations in Des Moines. It is possible to stay in one place, but easier to do so in Ohio or Michigan. Staying in Des Moines is pretty competitive because of all the spouses/kids!

PA and NJ definitely.... NY, I heard you can set up elective sites there....
