Wondering about % distribution of each subject approximately especially for the test takers who took it recently. Couldnt find this except an old 2009 thread that talks about IM being 50-60%.

Thx

I felt IM was 60%

Surgery was hard to say. Questions which involved the a surgical treatment as the answer was proably around 10%, but I felt IM and Surgery questions on diagnosis/prognosis/principles overlapped quite a bit.

Psych was 10%

Pediatrics was 10%, but some of the hardest zebras came from pediatrics.

OBGYN was 10%

Keep in mind 10% would be ~34 questions

You got to love how common this question is (this coming from somebody who posted a similiar question a while back)

60% IM, 25% OB/Peds, 15% everything else.

Don't blow off OB and Peds when considering other sections besides IM. Everyone I have talked with locally that has already taken the test agreed that Peds and OB is a significant chunk.

theres only a few things someone shouldn't study for this exam.

1. Chemotherapeutics for example
