Dicrotic pulse

Wiki said the same thing as UW said but no explanation. Can anyone explain the pathophys behind it, and the dicrotic wave after the dicrotic notch(on the cardiac cycle diagram?) not sure what it means. apparenlty due to LV dysfunctoin adn increased TPR.
