Its not worth it by itself (financially speaking). A new DBS initiation (which can honestly sometimes take 45min-hour) pays close to a new patient encounter and a f/u DBS interrogation and adjustment pays less than a follow up visit. If you do a basic interrogation and maybe minor changes, you could add that on to a f/u visit and get like 1 extra RVU or something. Its worth it if you enjoy it and you could also keep those patients and build a reputation.
