I heard from an allopathic PD that D.O. trained orthopods have limited privileges at some hospitals. Any truth to this?

I heard from an allopathic PD that D.O. trained orthopods have limited privileges at some hospitals. Any truth to this?

No, at least as far as I know. Spent 5 months at various hospitals on audition rotations with both DO and MD attendings, often working side-by-side. Not once did I ever see, hear or smell of limited privileges.
