I took Gen. Chem I this past semester and wasn't doing to hot in it (taking it as part of 19 credit load while pledging a sorority was NOT a good idea!), so I elected to take it CR/NCR (aka pass/fail) and have it recorded as CR on my transcript. I am planning to retake it for letter grade later (and hopefully do well!), but will having a CR for Gen. Chem I on my transcript be a huge red flag?

Thanks in advance!

I would think Cr is the same as W right? most people who are getting Cs save their grades by getting a W. The only problem is, my science classes don't give the Cr/NCr option. IMO, Cr doesn't look so bad as a W but I would certainly opt for Cr if I was ever getting a C.
