i'm pretty excited about going to nycom.
i'm sure that'll all translate into apprehension and anxiety after the first 10 min of our first lecture.

i'm from nassau county and will be commuting to school but hope to be involved with campus life anyway.

what are you doing for your last summer before med school.
i'm in two minds
1- take coursework/study on my own
2- party everyday and every night.

i can't see myself reaching a compromis b/n the two- all or nothing

If I were you, I would go with no. 2.

Hello all!
I'm also from Nassau County...in fact about 10 min. away from the school.
I plan on relaxing and enjoying my last summer before med. school starts...there will be plenty of time to hit the books later on.

Hi everyone,
I'll be there with y'all in the fall. I'm going to be working as many hours as possible until August and hopefully will be taking a vacation (preferably on a beach with a fruity drink in hand).

I will be moving to the island from Rockland County, so if anyone has any suggestions on where to live, please PM me.

I'm a little nervous but mostly excited about attending NYCOM. I've been out of school for a year and I'm sooooo ready to go back (I might regret those words later).

I don't think anyone should be studying....enjoy this last bit of freedom while it last :D

Hi to all the future NYCOMers-

I won't get to see you all as I will be rotating next year and living in the city.....

but here is my advice-
1. RELAX and SLEEP a lot-- none of this studying BS (honestly I
don't think it will help and it will burn you out big time!)

2. talk to current students about anything and everything-
they will help you big time (anything from housing to books
to old tests---- you need this)

3. find a house as close as possible for the next two years
(second year most classes start at 8am) and 20min makes all
the difference inb the wold!!!!!!!

4. Have fun finishing up with whatever you are doing
and good luck next fall

if you need any advice post and I will try to keep an eye out:)
