Hi all! Found out a few days ago that step 3 is undergoing changes. Is this why there is a delay in score reporting for people taking it this spring 2017, starting with mid-January 2017 test-takers? I was wondering if the delay was so they can gather enough data to apply a curve to the new test or something.
I was also wondering if I'd be at a disadvantage to take the new one when the new one is so new and would maybe be better off waiting to take it in 6-8 months once any issues with the new one have been ironed out? Thoughts?
I'm scheduled for late January 2017 currently and not feeling the greatest about my composite UW score (64% overall for the question bank, just finished the last set of questions today) so the idea of delaying it has already been crossing my mind, and then when I found out about the test changing, I'm considering a delay even more strongly. Makes me worried I've been studying the wrong content and it won't align with the changed exam.
Any input is appreciated as to whether it seems like a good idea to delay based on my UW score and/or the fact the test is changing.
