Edit: Ugh, formatting always messes up for me on SDN for some reason. Here is a link to a better formatted version on Google Docs.
I am Exercise Physiology major and Psychology minor. Former Nursing student, quit during winter break following Fall 2010.
Stats:
I am taking 3 more courses over the summer to graduate. 2 science (exercise physiology and ochem lab II) and 1 research.
So basically I am planning on applying to all med schools in Ohio since I am in-state. I am also in the process of setting up a DO shadowing with a doctor I know who may be able to give me a DO LOR. I am submitting my application June 1st, so it will be verified by the time my MCAT score is submitted.
Are there any schools I might be competitive for out of state? What are my chances over all? Can I do anything during my one year break? The plan is to graduate in August, go to Europe September - December. So I will have the rest of the year to improve my application, retake the MCAT if needed.
