hi guys,

it's late and even though i've been over this with someone before, i have a stupid question. sorry.

for categorical neuro programs, meaning it includes the intern year if you match there, do you have to apply to the corresponding preliminary medicine year through ERAS as a formality?

Or do you NOT apply for that prelim through ERAS, but you DO have to rank that prelim year through NRMP?

i was pretty sure it's the second case, but just checking.

I have spoken with a number of programs with attatched slots that say you DO NOT have to apply for the prelim, but you DO have to rank them first for year 1. So your second thought was indeed correct based on my conversations.
