I recently got accepted into a pharmacy school .... unfortunately, I still have 10 other interviews to do before making my decision.

I was under the impression that a DEPOSIT meant that I was depositing $ to hold my seat. When I asked them, they said that sending in the depsoit means that I would accept the offer, and the other decision is to decline the offer.

Can someone explain to me if I'm misunderstanding what a deposit meant?

Why would you want to pay to accept so early, when you have other interviews?

Shouldn't they just take my deposit and if I don't choose to go to their school, they keep the depsoit and give the spot to someone else?

what I know is that there are first and second deposit fees. If you pay first one, then it means you are keeping the admissiom offer.
Second deposite is the final decision that you want to go that school.
you need to pay the first deposit within usually 2weeks. if you dont, then you lose your seat.
the deadline of the second deposite is vary so you need to check it.

make sense?

Also, keep in mind that some schools don't have two deposits but just one deposit paid in full to hold your seat.
