Is there lot of competition for CA medical schools? Please let me know any and all information about CA med schools. Do they require higher GPA and MCAT than normal. Is tuition expensive? Do they consider out of state or favor in-state mostly?

Yes, compared to other state schools.

Relatively, no.

Cost: around $12,000 tuition for in-state

GPA and MCAT: > 3.6 / > 32

Instate vs. Out-state: depends -
UCLA does not put preference on in vs. out of state i think ?
UCD - prefers in state
UCSF - no preference

Competitive - Extremely

Woah, not true.

In-state "fees" are about $24K/year and OOS students pay an extra $12K tuition. I looked at OOS privates that were cheaper than my IS UC.
GPA and MCAT: > 3.6 / > 32
Plan on that for UCD, UCI. For UCSD/UCLA raise it by .1/1. For UCSF raise it another .1/1.

UCSF - no preference
You're right that UCLA/UCSF do not have in-state preference. UCI/UCD has strong in-state preference (only 1-4 per class, usually).
Competitive - Extremely
Amen to that.
