I'm a rising sophomore at HYPS looking to apply as an MD/MBA candidate in 2018. Would double majoring in Biology and Economics improve my chances? Or should I stick to one major (currently leaning towards Biology)?

I'd recommend sticking to one major and using the extra time to be involved in research, internships, and extracurricular activities that show off leadership skills. The latter group can really distinguish you for MD and MBA programs.

I just majored in econ and did premed prerequisites. lots of people do that and it turns out fine.
