I'm getting certified this summer as an EMT-b in New Jersey. However, I go to school in Boston and want to do the EMS squad on campus. Is it worth it to take this class in NJ if I'm only going to need to retake the class to be an EMT-b in Massachusetts? Or, if I pass the national exam can I just take the state exam in Massachusetts rather than retaking the entire class?

Any information is appreciated.

Here is a copy of their EMT reciprocity policy. That should tell you what you have to do to work EMS in MA after training in NJ.
