I would be studying science at UQ next year, i got decent grades for my foundation year but i totally missed out the application for MBBS for aussie universities. so i am planning to take 1 year of science at UQ then transfer to medical school at another university. is this a viable option?

Better check with the individual universities whether they accept transferring students into their medical programs! Just email them...good luck!
