In this type of career, do you miss caring directly for patients? Or, do you find yourself pursuing these types of roles because you realized patient care wasn't for you?

Also, for such career paths, are many/most people MD-only, or is it more common to have a dual degree of some sort? If so, which ones seem to be represented in the highest volume?
