My PhD research focuses on injuries to the joints and osteoarthristis, and I am considering including a clinical aspect to my training. I am considering the possibilities of doing a combined MD/PhD, however I am open to other avenues of clinical involvement. I want something that is related to my field of research and currently am considering the possibilities of physical therapy and chiropractic. I was just curious if anyone was aware of any other clinical training programs (not necessarily doctor) that would be worth investigating?
Just as it is common to do a medical physics residency after a PhD in medical physics and to design dose treatment plans, is there something in my field that is analogous (designing prosthetic limbs/braces perhaps?)
Any advice would be appreciated
