Make sure that you carefully consider the path you are taking before making solid steps on it.

The classic advice here, and it certainly applies to most people:

Gap year + DO (if you can become competitive enough) is WAY better than Caribbean. Once you enroll in that med school you can’t go back and re-apply without that mark of “have you previously attended a medical school.”

If you’re gonna go Carib make sure you know what you’re getting into!

Both this post, his status, and his post history indicate he is already a student and studying for the USMLE. Good information in general but people really need to at least read what someone types out before putting the buyer beware out there lol.
