So I just received the 1 year AEGD (starting Aug 1 2019), but was told that I won't be going until BOLC until the following summer since apparently BOLC this year starts in July. Can anyone confirm this/ will I be ok doing an AEGD without going to training first?

If this year is going to be anything like years in the recent past, you should graduate in late May, and be allowed to attend the abbreviated HPSP BOLC in June/July and report in late July early August for your AEGD. This pretty much applies to everyone who signed their oath of office prior to 1 October 2017. Anyone who signed their oath after that must attend the Direct Commission Course prior to attending BOLC. Because the two courses overlap, you will not be able to attend the abbreviated HPSP BOLC, and have to wait until August for BOLC with a graduation date in late November early December. It is in everyone's better interest to attend the DCC while in HPSP.

So ~6 weeks in DCC while in school then ~6 weeks in BOLC after graduation? This is the ideal situation?

Just checking that the cutoff is 1 October 2016? That's the date I received in an email from MODS_DB recently.

It's actually four weeks at DCC, then two weeks at school (getting 2LT pay instead of stipend) and then six weeks BOLC after graduation.

Yes, you must have signed your oath of office prior to 1 Oct 2016. The regulation was printed late, and while by the strict letter of AR 350-1 it reads 2017, unless the Dental Corps abides by that, in fairness to everyone who has already attended we are saying it is HPSP policy that you must have oathed prior to Oct 2016.

Hi,
Just a quick question:

If you do not attend summer trainings, you don’t get pait anything during summer because you stipend only for 10.5 months?

Nope. The HPSP Office will ensure that you are issued orders that will allow you to get ADT while attending classes. For the Army, that timeframe is 17 Aug - 30 Sep.
