Hey team! I am looking for some honest insight into ACOM, CUSOM, and WCUCOM.

I know deciding between these DO schools is not like deciding between going to a state school vs Ivy League, but I would appreciate some honest insight into things not easily found on the schools' website/reddit threads/etc. that I could have missed. I would like to hear the worst and best outcomes/experiences from anyone familiar with these schools.

Below is not an exhaustive list of pro/cons, just the ones that stand out.

ACOM:
Pros:

- Solid clinical instruction
- Location (I am partial to the south)
- Housing is very conveniently located (~3min walk)
Cons:
- Only one not attached to a university
- Poor communication from administrators so far (nitpicky I know, but still)
Unsure:
- Cannot find specific hospitals for their rotations

CUSOM:
Pros:

- Instruction: Prof's have very good resumes, up-to-date facilities
- Near big universities for research opportunities
- Very professional- communication from admin, website very transparent
Cons:
- COST- most expensive
- Not in the south

WCUCOM:
Pros:
- lowest cost
Cons:
- Has the lowest stats for acceptance/lower tier
- So/so reviews from previous students
- locations of rotations
- Ethical question in my interview was straight out of an episode of Grey's Anatomy

I don't know anything about WCUCOM, but you can't go wrong between ACOM or CUSOM. I would look at their match lists and see what regions students tend to match. The school that will give you a better chance of matching in the region you prefer to live/practice is the one I would choose. Seems like ACOM would be the answer given you are partial to the south.

lmk if you have any questions about wcucom! will say:

1) tier in DO programs is kind of a myth lol
2) lmk if you would like a current OMS2 opinion!
3) i would consider the fact that maybe grey's anatomy picked their ethical questions off of common ethical scenarios that their consulting medical professionals faced as opposed to the other way around lololol

i'd also caution you against making judgements about a school based off their admissions front office staff. at least at wcucom, admissions staff have virtually zero interaction with day to day med students.
