Ranking ABIM research track residencies with attached fellowships. Does this look right?
Interested in academics and translational research when I grow up. Not sure yet about liquid vs. solid malignancies; no location preference.

1) MSKCC
2) UCSF
3) Stanford
4) UChicago
5) WashU
6) UMichigan
7) UPenn
8) Yale

That is a pretty good list. Yale is probably a program on the rise, but probably isn't in the same league as the other programs in terms of research activities/NCI funding, etc. Not that it is what necessarily makes for a good training experience. I think Penn as it stands is probably stronger than Chicago, in spite of Chicago's long standing reputation in heme/onc. I was not as impressed with Chicago as I thought I would be when I interviewed there for fellowship.
