post II-R interviewed sept 25th just rn, devastated. im actaully sobbing
Thanks for this information! Do you know if sending a letter of intent will increase chances of getting off the waitlist?Re: calls and whether it means anything
- Some faculty interviewers like to reach out and congratulate the people they interviewed! Some don't realize that you got accepted, some didn't find the call, etc etc.
- We started this thing last year where current students would reach out to accepted students to say congrats, ask if they have any questions. It did not mean anything in terms of whether you're likely to get a scholarship -- we as current students don't see the list of people being considered for scholarships.
Re: chances of getting off waitlist
- I hate giving this answer. but it truly depends on how many accepted students decide to take their medical journeys elsewhere. There are classes where literally nobody gets off the waitlist cause everyone who was initially accepted kept their spot and DGSOM even had to over-enroll students. There are also other classes where almost 1/4 of the class will be students off the waitlist.
Re: when does getting off the waitlist happen
- Could be anytime, but likely to be in May after the April 30th deadline for students to withdraw their acceptances from all but one school. Some people will hear the first week of May. I know others who didn't get off the waitlist until July and literally had a couple weeks to move to LA.
I’ve seen you mention you got in off the WL. Were you designated “top of WL”?Re: calls and whether it means anything

I also have this questionI know probably this has been answered somewhere before, but how is the movement for the WL people who are NOT top of the list?
I've seen a decent amount of non-top of the list movement from stalking previous years threads! There is hopeI also have this question
OOS top of WL (though no mention of this in the portal?), interviewed 12/1.IS reg WL. What does top of the WL in the email look like?
I'm in the same boat as you. Sending all the good vibes your way friend! Praying to the medical school gods for good things to come!my 5th WL with no A’s…i’m broken
in the email it said you have 15 business days to accept or decline your spot on the waitlistAnyone know what date folks have to give up their waitlist spot(s) if they are currently holding an acceptance somewhere else?
from my understanding, if you hold multiple acceptances you have to indicate only one to "plan to enroll" to by April 30th. this will keep you on your waitlists, but you will no longer hold multiple acceptances. You will only drop from waitlists once you "commit to enroll". Every school's deadline for this is slightly different but it seems early June is the consensus. Correct me if I am wrongAnyone know what date folks have to give up their waitlist spot(s) if they are currently holding an acceptance somewhere else?
I wouldn’t say “thank you for not rejecting me” lmaoRandom...maybe dumb question...but do you send thank you's for being placed on a WL. I haven't previously for other school WL's and now I am worried that I messed that up. Thoughts?
Oh okay, yes. This is what I was referring to. Haha! True..Ok I didn't know if I was being paranoid...or somehow not seeming grateful.I wouldn’t say “thank you for not rejecting me” lmao
But if you have an update you could send that

I couldn't find UCLA's specific date, but most of the schools I've been involved with have the CTE deadline as 7/1. So this would be the latest you could hold both an A and WLs.from my understanding, if you hold multiple acceptances you have to indicate only one to "plan to enroll" to by April 30th. this will keep you on your waitlists, but you will no longer hold multiple acceptances. UCLA commit to enroll deadline is June 3 (MD) or May 8 (MSTP). Plan to enroll deadline is May 1.I couldn't find UCLA's specific date, but most of the schools I've been involved with have the CTE deadline as 7/1. So this would be the latest you could hold both an A and WLs.
Awesome, thanks for clarifying those dates!UCLA commit to enroll deadline is June 3 (MD) or May 8 (MSTP). Plan to enroll deadline is May 1.
sorry bro same, this is redirection not rejectionRejected
No, just in the email that I received. For those who had top of WL distinction, was there any mention of that in your portal when accepting/declining the waitlist offer?
I heard it varies each year :""))Were any of the decisions released today for PRIME or only general MD? I was waitlisted for PRIME last week and was wondering if they sent all the decisions on the same date? Also if anyone knows if there's any WL movement for PRIME pls share, I couldn't find anything on last year's thread 😟
I saw mine after I got the emailno one sees the WL on their portal yet ??
