Just curious:

Which schools are favored by most and are there any schools one should refuse to go (of course provided one has the option to choose)?
 
I had a missed call today from the Pittsburgh area code. They didn't leave a voicemail and the # was blocked when I called it back. Did anyone hear from Pittsburgh today?

i would think so...what if you only have 1 interview to a match school, i guess you would have to be ranked #1 or can you put down a 2 or 3 lol. Not sure how that would work

I got an email from Rutgers stating that they are currently reviewing applications and will have something sent out Sept 30th.

Just let them know of decision so they can fill the spot. Many people waiting for those and would like the chance. Don't just keep the date and no show.

Thanks blissonearth and I wouldn't count out anything until things are officially done. I have a feeling a lot of applicants are going to start turning down interviews soon so don't be surprised if some of the programs on this list start contacting you soon. Keep your head up and try to stay positive.
 
Received an interview offer from Montefiore today. A friend of mine received it on Friday, but submitted her application a couple days before me. I have a feeling they're rolling interviews out as they review applicants.

I believe its against the "rules" of Match for the program to solicit where you will rank them and vice versa. Though, I can attest to the fact it does happen, maybe because part time faculty are unaware of this? You are allowed to tell them, but should not be forced to do so.

In the email invitation sent to me from St. Barnabas, they mentioned the following:

New to this year’s regulations, both applicants and the programs are now authorized to “ask” if the other party intends to rank them. We will comply with this regulation, however, please understand that we are not allowed to share specific ranks of individuals.

How many of you are graduating with 400K+ in loans and applying to Ortho programs that charge tuition?

Haha. Thanks orthoapplicant. And definitely not harvesting them all. I just applied to a ton of schools is all. There's a few on that list I didn't get either. Keeping my fingers crossed for a few I still have my eye on. Good luck.
 
navyDMD may I ask what your GRE score was? I keep trying to figure out what it is I don't have? my GPA is 3.82 and have tons of published papers, passed both part 1 &2! still not getting any!
 
NavyDMD, you must be a stellar applicant. Congratulations on your success so far. Did you ever apply to DUINS? Not that it matters, I'm just curious because you probably would have done very well there too.
