Do the size of the bands increase as you go out from the zeroth fringe? Are the distances between bright fringes always the same anyway?

The bright and dark patterns are equidistant, so their size is the same. Fringe width which is distance between alternate bright and dark pattern is the same i.e., wavelength / 2.
Bright patterns are located at = m*wavelength*distance between slits and the screen / slit width
Dark patterns are located at = (m+1/2)*wavelength*distance between slits and the screen / slit width
