My question is this: would it be crazy to drop out of my PhD program and apply for a career change post-bacc?

The career prospects for medicine are a wee bit better than what's waiting behind the doors of a divinity PhD.

Formal postbacs, as a bunch, are dramatically overrated. Community colleges close a very small number of doors, extension schools (Harvard, UCBx, UTX) all offer the prereqs for around 1k per class and close zero doors.
