Hi ,
I am a foreign trained Orthodontist ( India) ,and am currently doing my 2 yrs advanced standing DMD program. After this I want to get into ortho residency program. So for this any input will be appreciated. I am posting my stats below and also if sum one can throw light on what are the crucial factors from now on , that I have got to consider so that I leave no stone unturned to get in.
Part I-89 ( new pattern) don't know if new pattern or old makes a difference
TOEFL-111.
Experience in Home country - 2 yrs ( as orthodontist)
Experience in US -6 months ( as observer)
Completed one research thesis
one library dissertation
Presented paper and poster in Indian conferences.
So this is till now, i need to know what are all the factors i should take care of from now on. Also i was contemplating on whether i should take my boards again i mean the part I. I am one short of the magic figure , but cant decide. I haven't given part II but will give it shortly.
So all the inputs welcome.
