I keep getting Qbank/Practice exam questions about wrinkles and now I'm all confused.
Are wrinkles due to increased crosslinking?
If so, then why is it crosslinking that gives elastin resilience?
Am I mixing up collagen and elastin or something? Do they contribute differently to wrinkles?
Why do Ehler Danlos people have hyperelastic skin...if their defect is with decreased crosslinking of tropocollagen?
Vitamin C deficiency, is it also a problem with decreased crosslinking? I always associate Vit C with decreased wrinkles....but wouldn't Vit C increase crosslinking and therefore increase wrinkles? That just sounds counter-intuitive though.
