For the WREB exam,
how do you prep a posterior tooth ( with interproximal decay) for a direct posterior composite restoration? Is it a conventional class 2 prep: 0.5mm into dentin, divergent/convergent walls etc... or can you do a conservative prep since the final restoration is comp and not amalgam? At our school we were taught to do a conservative prep for posterior comps. I am not sure how WREB grades class 2 prep for comp restoration.

anyone has input on this?

You can do a conventional prep or a slot prep. The specific criteria is written in the manual. The manual will explain everything.
