Hi everyone!
I'm an Italian Dentist Specialist in Orthodontics, fully registered with the GDC.
Looking for a position in Manchester but not only there, I noted that there are much more job offers for general dentists than for orthodontists.
I guessed it was easier with a specialisation. No need for Orthodontic treatment in England or what else?
I have to say Im a very demoralized for this situation I didn't know, after a long path to got registration with GDC (as a dentist and then on the specialist list).
I can see only two solutions, but do'nt know if are good: accept job as a dentist in Manchester and then wait for a position as an orthodontist (because I want to do orthodontics!), If I want to stay
in Manchester Or accept position as an Orthodontist everywhere in England, and then I dont know how much is esy and useful to change practice (interruption of treatment, etc.)
Could anyone give me an opinion or advice about this, please?
Thanks
