work vs. study

I have a 3.3 GPA and 32 on the MCATs, summer research and clinical experiences: interesting but not amazing as far as schools are concerned - so far I've been rejected at 14 out of 19 and have had no interviews - most likely I won't get in this year. I think my GPA is the problem. I'm wondering if I should go with a postbac/masters program or whether meaningful work experience can also enhance my application.

Well, IMHO I think the classes in the post-bac program would definitely bring up your GPA. Working on something you love would definitely enhance your experiences and could beef up your personal statement and essays if you could relate it to medicine or your motivations. Good luck! Just don't bite off more than you can chew.

I would say it depends where you are applying...

If you are going allopathic...I would say def up the GPA...

For osteopathic...you need to work with a DO and get a solid rec.

Your MCAT seems fine...and research and clinical experiences are excellent for your app...

I am assuming you are going allo...

Do post back take undergrad classes..and beef it up..
