EK 1001 341 Physics
A mass m slides a distance D. Which of the following is altered by changing m?
A: Work done on mass
B: Velocity
C: Acceleration
D: Time required to move D
I understand why is A (work) since changing mass would change force. However, since work is change in Kinetic Energy, why isn't velocity changed?
Similarly, if a block moves to the right, changing mass apparently does not change the amount of work done? EK says only angle, force, and distance would change work. Still, why doesn't changing mass affect work?
