I applied to family medicine at a few AOA institutions when applications opened. I had a change of heart and really want to apply OBGYN. Many of the programs Im interested in are at the same institution where I already applied for FM. Should I withdraw my FM applications or is it too late at this point? Im nervous about talk between program directors. Any advice would be appreciated!

I really want someone who knows to give advice, but no one is, and I feel the pain. So you can have my 2 cents. If I want OBGYN, and its a new realization, then I am applying for OBGYN and if the FM residencies call I will explain to them my newfound interest. I am certainly not going to let a specialty I don't want to do keep me from applying to one I do want to do.
