Will my score matter?!?

I'm taking COMLEX 2 on August 27. I am reallty working hard to make sure I do markedly better than I did on step 1(barely got through it). Will my score be back and in the hands of residency directors for DO programs hands' in time for it to matter? Or will the decisions already be made? I realize every program makes descions at a different time but in your experience and opinion, will this August 27 be soon enough to make an impression?

Anyone out there have any idea on this. Any info that anyone on this forum might have would be nice. I guess I'm confused by the timeline and how official the application process is. Can I walk into an interview and show them a copy of my step 2 scores? Or will it have to be submittied prior to the interview? I just want them to see my scores but I know I'll need till the end of august to do as well as I can.
