I am a US allopathic grad that fortunately and luckily got a residency in NY for Internal Med! I am posting this question regarding when I should take Step 3, because I had difficulties with Step 1 and 2CK (Passed both on 2nd attempt). I really dont want to screw up Step 3, and have some time before intern year since I already graduated. My fear is that I have been out of clinicals for a year so I dont have recent experience managing patients and writing orders and stuff.
Do you think I should just study for it now and take it before intern year, or should I wait until I have a few months of wards experience under my belt and take it as a busy intern? (my program requires it to be passed by the end of internship)
