when is a good time to get involved in research? i was talking to one admissions lady and she said that as a first year, im unlikely to have the time to do research on top of all the school work. so im wondering if this means that you can really only do research in the summer after 1st year, since the summer after second will be spent studying for the USMLE. or alternatively doing research in the summer after 3rd year. whats the story?
