HI FRIENDS...

I AM A RADIATION ONCOLOGIST FROM INDIA. I HAVE DONE FOUR YEARS OF RESIDENCY THERE AND NOW I AM IN QUEST OF PASSING USMLE.

OK. OUT OF CURIOSITY, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF GETTING RESIDENCY IN RAD ONCO IN USA IF I GET GOOD OR AVERAGE SCORES ?

DOES MY FOUR YEARS OF WORKING IN THIS FIELD HAVE SOME IMPACT ON PROG. DIRECTORS ?

THANKS....WAITING FOR REPLY....

From what I have heard, you have a tough road ahead of you. I do not think a foriegn med grad has matched in years. I would think you need significantly above average board scores if possible (but that goes for all applicants). Good Luck.

I would finish your residency, and practice at a university hospital in India. Try to pubish, publish, publish...

Then, apply for a fellowship position. That may be your best option.
