Whats the meaning of "shadowing"?

What does "shadowing" mean? When you are shadowing a physician, what kind of things should you be doing?

just watch the doctor, see what he does. ask questions about what he is doing.

THe one I got to shadow explained everything as he was doing it to me.

When I shadowed the physician, I not only observed and asked questions but was also asked questions. He treated me no differently than any of the residents he had. Luckily, I did my research before I went into clinic and understood what was being asked. I think this helped me a lot and helped my strong LOR. I think you should start reading some medical textbooks. Try to learn as much as you can without stressing.
