You need to get more non-clinical hours. Do not retake MCAT.I would greatly appreciate your input on where you think that I went wrong this cycle and your thoughts on what I have done since applying (and what I plan on doing for the future, if this cycle continues as is). Or suggestions for gap year! I would like to focus more on public health/service fellowship/clinic job than doing any more research.

Updates since sending in apps
completing capstone project for my certificate in community engagement with elder patients and helping adopt a virtual volunteering model
Where I think that I fell short this cycle
Weaker MCAT, submitting application late due to taking late MCAT in August (most of my secondaries submited from Sept--> Nov), need to have more non clinical volunteering hours, applied to state schools that are not as open to OOS or Canadian.
My plan moving forward
Apply for Patient Care Tech or Ambulatory Tech
Apply for Public Health Masters? (really not sure, need more ideas for Gap year!!!)
Possibly Retake MCAT for 3rd time
Volunteer more at the homeless shelter
Apply to DO schools and reevaluate my MD schools for future cycles.
Thank you for your time!
Also, apply to DO schools as well next cycle.
